a different agenda

have you ever gone through a meeting wherein the topic that you strongly feel that should be discussed is not listed in the agenda and your only chance to open this up is when the facilitator inquires about any other matters. unfortunately it doesn't really matter and it's just mentioned as a cue to end the meeting.

how bout attending a party not because you know you'll enjoy it but because you need to as your boss wants you to be there. you act as if you're enjoying but you're actually with people you don't want to be with after office hours.

at some point in our lives these things happens.

tonight seems to be one of those. i'm attending a literary soiree (second time in a month's period!) intending to form small writing/critique groups. i'm not a writer nor a literary patron (though i would love to be one) and my main agenda tonight is very far from their objective i.e. try if the muffin at coco's is good and accompany my friend ria as i'm worried that the stalker-like character we've met in the previous soiree would be there and make her feel totally uncomfortable. my only consolation is the certainty of achieving my purpose. it's anyways very simple. try the muffin and accompany my friend.

i'll be glad if there'll be something more to this. like, hmm... turning out to be a writer? (hehehe in my dreams!) well i've got two people supporting me now... joel told me he believes i can write... ria told me this soiree might inspire me to write.
